From late 2020 to 2022, I produced South Florida PBS' first podcast, GO Between the Covers. This podcast was inspired by our nationally broadcasted program Between the Covers, featuring debut and top-rated authors of all genres. I wanted to bring this program into the world of audio storytelling and decided to convert the  filmed interviews into a podcast. Season 1 and 2 are available on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, Google Podcasts and wherever you get your podcasts.
My main tasks included:
• Working with graphic designers to create the GO Between the Covers brand (cover art, logo, social media graphics, website banner).
• Writing website copy, social media content, e-blasts, promotional scripts and show notes for all episodes.
• Writing the script for podcast host Ann Bocock (trailers, introductions, outros and interludes).
Sound designing each episode on Final Cut Pro and Adobe Audition (adding music, sound effects and compression).
Many of the episodes included a short reading from the author, which gave me the creative freedom to paint a picture entirely through sound design. I quickly discovered that in certain circumstances, less is more. I was able to find subtle, yet effective ways to bring listeners into the scene and invite their imagination to fill in the blanks.
